Lalla Rookh, an Oriental Romance rodin "Misunderstood" was adapted for filmLondon: Longman Brown Green and Longmans, 1853. Crown 8vo. (180 mm); xvi, 288 pp. Engraved titlepage. Bound in green sand grained morocco with intricate gilt decorations to sides, panelled spine also gilt. All edges gilt. Spine well rubbed at head and tail and edges, tips of corners also. With a nice gilt inscription in contemporary copperplate hand, "Harwick Doncaster, with his sister's love. St Leonards on Sea, Jan the 1st 1856".
