A very fine and fresh unused four margin imperforate imprimatur lettered 'TG'. Scarce being one of only 23 possible examples that have been removed from the imprimatur sheet (the very first approved printing sheet), many of which are in institutional collections. Plate 8 was put to press and registered on 31 July 1840. Its earliest known use is 5 September. Provenance: Ex. "Verus". SG Catalogue
